Postnatal massage
Pregnancy and childbirth are intense periods, during which the body changes. Hence Leiden Spa offers a postnatal massage. This is a mix of a relaxing gentle massage and a firm massage targeting the muscles where tension has built up during pregnancy. Think back muscles, thighs, hamstrings or calf muscles.

Your body deserves relaxation & recovery
After pregnancy, your hormone balance is still not balanced and you are trying to focus all your attention on the newborn baby. This can cause fatigue and pain. Postnatal massage resolves these complaints, allowing you to care for your baby in the best possible way.
We discuss your needs in advance and based on this we create a customised postnatal massage. Your body deserves relaxation & recovery and this massage can help in several ways:
- Blood circulation is stimulated, allowing waste products in the body to be better disposed of. This promotes physical recovery.
- The endocrine glands are rebalanced, stabilising hormone levels. This improves mental health and makes you feel more comfortable in your own skin.
- Breastfeeding and carrying the baby can cause physical complaints. Massage helps relieve these symptoms, allowing you to move freely again.
- Often, all attention goes to the newborn baby, which means you do not get to relax. So give yourself a moment of rest and enjoy a gentle body massage tailored to your needs.
In short, postnatal massage is good for physical and mental health. Exactly what wishes you have will be discussed in advance during an intake interview, so that the massage is tailor-made. Interested?
